Fees
Schedule in force since September 22, 2026
This page is the fee schedule our Terms of Service (section 12) and Host Agreement (section 3) refer to. Most activities on Porchside are free. Where a host charges, the figures below apply to purchases made while this schedule is in force; every checkout shows the same figures before you pay, and the fees that applied to a purchase are recorded with it.
What guests pay
A service fee of 7.9% of the ticket amount plus $0.69 per checkout, added to the ticket price, plus any sales tax that applies. Where the host has chosen to include the service fee in their price, you pay only the price shown.
What hosts pay
Card processing of 2.9% of the ticket amount. There is no separate platform fee on the host side. A host who includes the service fee in their price pays that fee out of their payout as well.

Before sales tax. One ticket per row; multi-ticket checkouts apply the per-checkout part once. The service fee is never less than its fixed part, so it is a larger share of a small ticket.
Limits
Minimum ticket price $1.00. Up to 4 tickets in one checkout. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, in U.S. dollars.
Cancellations and refunds
A guest who cancels more than 24 hours before the start is refunded the ticket amount and any tax; the service fee is not refunded unless the host included it in the price. Within 24 hours of the start, reservations are not refundable. If the host cancels, or we cancel for low sign-up, every guest is refunded in full, and the host is charged the actual card-processing cost of those refunds, which we show before the host confirms. The Terms (section 12) and the Host Agreement (section 5) govern.
Changes
We may change these fees by updating this page. A change applies to purchases made after it takes effect; the fees recorded with an earlier purchase do not change.
